Old industrial machines are often painted green because of a historical trend set by the John Deere company. In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, John Deere began painting their agricultural equipment green as a way to stand out from competitors who primarily used red. This distinctive green color became associated with durability and quality, leading other manufacturers to follow suit. As a result, green became the standard color for many industrial machines during that time period, and the tradition has continued to this day. **

Overall, the classification of contemporary plays as modern depends on the context and definition being used. **
