Mid-range smartphones typically do not last as long as high-end smartphones in terms of performance and software support. High-end smartphones usually have more advanced hardware components and are designed to handle more intensive tasks, resulting in better longevity. Additionally, high-end smartphones often receive software updates for a longer period of time, ensuring they remain up-to-date and secure for a longer period. However, with proper care and maintenance, mid-range smartphones can still provide a satisfactory lifespan for many users. **

No, magnets cannot destroy modern smartphones. Modern smartphones use solid-state technology for their storage, which is not affected by magnets. While a strong magnet may temporarily interfere with the phone's compass or magnetometer, it will not cause permanent damage to the device. However, it is still best to keep magnets away from smartphones to avoid any potential interference with the device's sensors. **

Police officers still use walkie-talkies instead of modern smartphones for several reasons. Walkie-talkies are more reliable in areas with poor cell service or during emergencies when networks may be overloaded. They also have a longer battery life and are more durable than smartphones, making them better suited for the demands of police work. Additionally, walkie-talkies are designed for instant communication with the push of a button, whereas smartphones may require unlocking and navigating through apps to make a call. **
