Are American vintage cars really so unreliable?
American vintage cars have a reputation for being unreliable due to their older technology and lack of modern safety and reliability features. However, this reputation is not universally true for all vintage cars. Some well-maintained vintage American cars can still be reliable and enjoyable to drive. It ultimately depends on the specific make, model, and maintenance history of the vintage car in question. With proper care and maintenance, many vintage American cars can still be reliable and enjoyable to own. **
Why are there so many American vintage cars in Norway?
There are many American vintage cars in Norway because of the country's strong car culture and appreciation for classic vehicles. Additionally, Norway has a relatively high standard of living, allowing car enthusiasts to afford and maintain these older, often more expensive vehicles. The popularity of American vintage cars in Norway may also be influenced by the country's distance from the United States, making these cars more unique and desirable to collectors. **

Fender Precision Bass Black 1978 Vintage Electric Bass Guitar Vintage Black - RefurbishedThis is a Fender Precision Bass in Black finish. The Fender Precision bass was launched in 1951, and despite how ubiquitous it is today, actually took a few years to catch on. Electric bass guitars were a new concept at the time, and Leo Fender had to travel to jazz clubs & concert halls to promote his new instrument face to face with musicians. Several design modifications were made throughout the '50s before a major revision in '57. The headstock was changed to resemble the Stratocaster rather than the Telecaster it had originally, and the pickguard was also changed to echo the design of the Strat. The iconic split single-coil pickup was added and the bridge was changed to a top-loading design with four steel saddles. Aside from offering Rosewood fingerboard & different pickup options in the following years, the P Bass' design has remained largely unchanged since 1957, and has gone down in history as the first commercially successful bass guitar design, with an immeasurable impact in the world of music. Made in the USA in 1978, this bass comes from the height of Fender's CBS era. Whilst CBS made several small design tweaks to Fender's instruments, the P Bass remained largely unchanged save for the use of a polyurethane finish. It is clear that this particular example has stood the test of time, and has been well played & enjoyed throughout its 47 year life. Naturally, a bolt-on construction is employed and comprises an Alder body, Maple neck and 20 fret Maple fingerboard. Chrome hardware is fitted including a top-loading bridge & split-post open-geared tuning machines. A split single-coil pickup is installed and wired to master volume & tone controls. The Maple neck plays very well, with a profile which might be described as a smooth and even 'C' shape, perhaps slightly thicker than you might find on Fender's modern offerings. Paired with the 7.25" fingerboard radius, this bass has a genuinely vintage specification. Along with the finish wear from the years of playing this bass has seen, the instrument feels very inspiring in the hands. Certainly, this bass has a 'mojo' to it which is often imitated on modern instruments but never equalled. Deep, rumbling lows will fill out your mix, whilst punchy mids and a sparkly top end will ensure that you have plenty of snap and attack to provide a lively and percussive performance. pushing your bass playing forward in the mix to create more urgency in the sound. The controls keep things simple; not intruding on the playing experience but still offering ample opportunities for tone shaping. Rolling the tone control down darkens the sound nicely, allowing you to blend more easily into the mix for a more mellow, quite jazzy tone. A well-loved bass that has worked hard throughout it's life but still has plenty to give.1890,00 £*Shipping: 0,00 £Secure redirect to the provider

Fender Stratocaster black 1980 CBS Era vintage electric guitar Black Vintage - RefurbishedThis is a Fender Stratocaster in Black finish. Made in the USA in 1980, this guitar features a bolt-on construction comprising an Alder body, Maple neck and 21 fret Rosewood fingerboard. CBS era appointments include the 3-point micro-tilt neck plate, bullet truss rod adjustment and large 70's headstock with CBS era Fender logo. Chrome hardware is fitted including a 6-saddle bridge and CBS era split-post 'F' stamped tuning machines. A trio of CBS Fender single-coil pickups are installed, and are wired to a 5-way blade switch, master volume, neck tone and middle tone controls. The Maple neck plays fantastically well, with the '70s neck profile feeling somewhat like a 'U' shape and providing a substantial yet articulate playing experience in all registers. The profile will feel familiar to those used to modern Fender necks, but provides a little more thickness for an authentic vintage playing experience. The Gloss finish to the rear of the neck assists with smooth navigation of the 25.5" scale, whilst the playwear that has accumulated over the years adds a real sense of mojo to the playing experience which is very inspiring in the hands. The Rosewood fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, and with the 7.25" radius delivers a suitably vintage playing experience. The new frets the guitar has been fitted with could perhaps be described as medium jumbo, and provide a rock-solid playing surface with enhanced string bending and vibrato feel. The trio of Fender CBS Alnico 5 Black Bottom single coil pickups installed in this guitar deliver clear and crisp tones, with shimmering cleans and punchy overdrives, just as you would expect from a Stratocaster. The neck pickup is warm and round, with plenty of power to push your solo tones to the front of the mix. The middle pickup is bright and spanky, and is well suited to funky rhythm tones. The bridge position handles gain very nicely and provides a richly saturated tone for rock rhythm parts. The controls are nice and responsive, and with the 5-way switch and traditional Stratocaster wiring provide the opportunity for a plethora of unique and interesting tones. An authentic vintage piece that remains highly practical and playable even after 46 years.2140,00 £*Shipping: 0,00 £Secure redirect to the provider

Made in the USA in 2021, this instrument features a bolt-on construction comprising an Alder body and Maple neck with 22 fret Maple fingerboard. Nickel/Chrome hardware is fitted including a 2-point synchronized tremolo bridge with bent steel saddles & a set of Fender Standard/Staggered tuning machines. A loaded pickguard has been fitted to the instrument, with a trio of Fender Vintage Noiseless pickups installed. These pickups are wired to a 5-way blade switch, master volume, neck/middle tone & bridge tone controls, with a push/push on the bridge tone which adds the neck pickup in positions 1 & 2. The Maple neck of this guitar features several refinements over Fender's standard necks, including the Deep 'C' profile, rolled fingerboard edges and 'Super-Natural' satin finish to the rear. This all adds up to a sophisticated playing experience that will suit many styles, feeling articulate, smooth and precise. Players who use the thumb are well accommodated by the rolled edges, and the narrow tall frets assist with fast notes, bending and vibrato. The trio of Fender Vintage Noiseless pickups that have been installed in this guitar are a nice subtle modification which really improves the overall performance of the instrument, eliminating all of the noise which is inherent with standard single-coil pickups. All of the Strat sounds you would expect are present in spades. The neck pickup offers warmth and clarity, and saturates beautifully when you drive the amp. The brightness of the middle and bridge pickups provide articulation and clarity, whilst retaining a bell-like chime. The addition of the push-push bridge tone control allows you to temper the brilliance of the bridge pickup and makes for a unique and slightly more mellow sound, and also offers the option to engage all three pickups in position 2 for a beefier tone.1290,00 £*Shipping: 0,00 £Secure redirect to the provider

Fender Jazzmaster 3-Color Sunburst 1965 Vintage Electric Guitar Vintage Sunburst - RefurbishedMainland UK buyers ONLY. MORE PHOTOS AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST. This is a stunning vintage 1965 Fender Jazzmaster in 3-Color Sunburst finish. Fender's Jazzmaster was introduced in 1958, and at the time was the most expensive guitar available from the manufacturer. It was intended for jazz players, and as such had several features intended to ingratiate itself with them. This included the offset waist, which made the guitar sit more comfortably on the leg when playing in a seated position as jazz guitarists often do. The Jazzmaster was the first Fender instrument to feature a Rosewood fingerboard, emulating the more traditional jazz guitars. The new 'rhythm circuit' produced a dark, mellow tone that Leo Fender thought would be perfect for smooth jazz lines. The instrument even had a completely new floating 'tremolo' design- which of course produces a vibrato effect- that had a locking mechanism to improve tuning stability when the tremolo wasn't in use. The Jazzmaster was ultimately discontinued in 1980 after years of dwindling sales. The instrument never caught on with its target market of Jazz players, but was very successful amongst surf rockers. In later years the instruments gained popularity in alternative scenes such as new wave, shoegaze & grunge. The serial number & specification of this guitar indicate that it was manufactured in 1965, with several indicating factors that point towards its completion in early/mid 1965. These include the neck stamp '4FEB65B' which indicates the neck was style 4 (Jazzmaster), stamped in Feb '65 & was of standard profile (B). It's widely accepted that 'L' serial numbers left the factory between '63 & '65. The lack of nail or clamping holes indicates the guitar was finished after 1964 when the holes were no longer required due to the use of a drying tree. The pot codes are easily legible, and read the 50th week of '63 & 08th week of '65. Fender kept their parts in large batches so it's quite reasonable for a guitar to have pots from different years. The headstock logo is the transitional logo rather than the 'Spaghetti Logo' that was in use until around '64. The fingerboard is inlaid with clay dots, rather than the pearloid dots which were introduced around late '64. There were always crossovers with some of these features, and this, amongst the other factors outlined above are strong signs that this instrument was produced right around the transition to the commonly accepted '65 spec. The Maple neck plays fantastically well, with a profile that feels somewhat like an even 'C' shape. This encourages ergonomic thumb positioning in all registers & ensures comfortable playability across the neck. The Gloss finish to the rear assists with smooth navigation of the 25.5" scale. The wear to the rear of the neck, as well as the light fingerboard wear and gentle battle scarring to the body add to the vintage feel & vibe of the instrument, and make it very inspiring in the hands. The offset body with generous cutaways...9030,00 £*Shipping: 0,00 £Secure redirect to the provider

The Maple neck plays well, with Fender's ‘U’ profile feeling comfortable in the hand and offering comfortable playability in all registers. The Maple fingerboard provides a durable playing surface, and with its 7.25" radius strikes a nice balance between easy chord playing and practicality for lead lines and string bending. The familiar lines of the Stratocaster body feel as great in the arms as ever, and provide a comfortable playing experience in both standing or seated positions. The guitar comes fitted with three Fender Japan Standard Single-Coil Strat pickups, these pickups provide the player with all of the classic Strat tones that you would expect from such an instrument. The bridge pickup is full of heat and bite but is in no way too brittle, perfect for ripping truly searing solos. The middle and neck are given an excellent amount of tonal diversity thanks to the tone control knobs. Packed with warmth and clarity, the neck, middle and in-between positions provide the player with tasteful tones that are enough to inspire any creative mind.950,00 £*Shipping: 0,00 £Secure redirect to the provider
