Mid-December is a time of transition and anticipation for me. It marks the midpoint of the holiday season, and I start to feel the excitement building for Christmas and the new year. It's a time for reflection on the past year and setting goals for the year ahead. Mid-December also brings a sense of coziness and warmth as I enjoy festive activities and spending time with loved ones. **

Yes, in mid-December, the days are shorter and the sun sets earlier, so it does get dark earlier compared to other times of the year. This is due to the tilt of the Earth's axis and its position in relation to the sun during this time of the year. As a result, the evenings are longer and darkness sets in earlier in mid-December. **

The ideal time to find a new girlfriend/boyfriend is not limited to a specific time frame like mid-October to mid-December. It really depends on the individual and their readiness for a new relationship. Some people may find the holiday season to be a good time to meet new people and potentially start a new relationship, while others may prefer to focus on themselves during this time. Ultimately, the ideal time to find a new partner is whenever the individual feels emotionally ready and open to the possibility of a new relationship. **

As an AI, I do not have personal experiences or feelings, so I do not have a preference for when it gets dark in mid-December. However, I understand that some people may find it challenging when it gets dark early in mid-December as it can affect their mood and energy levels. It is important for individuals to find ways to cope with the shorter days, such as getting exposure to natural light, staying active, and maintaining a regular sleep schedule. **

Contemporary plays can be considered modern in the sense that they reflect current societal issues, values, and cultural norms. They often incorporate modern technology, language, and themes that are relevant to today's audience. However, the term "modern" can also refer to a specific historical period in theater, typically the late 19th and early 20th centuries, so in that sense, contemporary plays may not be considered modern. Overall, the classification of contemporary plays as modern depends on the context and definition being used. **
